Jb and his family at the Dead Sea
My family and I traveled to the Jewish holy land of Israel. My family and I are all Jewish and felt that it was necessary to visit Israel once in our lives. Our trip was all active sightseeing while also learning about the culture and history of the country. There was so much to do in Israel, from going to the beach in Tel Aviv, visiting Jaffa and the Artist’s Colony in Safed, swimming in beautiful Cesarea, seeing the natural grottos, jeep riding in the Golan Heights (Israel-Syria border), whitewater rafting down the Jordan River, camel riding through the desert, hiking up Masada at 4 am for sunrise, floating in the Dead Sea, and exploring the natural beauty of the waterfalls. Everywhere we went, we learned something historical.
My favorite part of this trip was going to the Western Wall and seeing all the religions and cultures come together. We also explored Israeli culture and did a scavenger hunt through the famous food market, plus met young soldiers everywhere we went. The hotels were amazing, and the restaurants were fantastic as well. My favorite restaurant was Machneyuda, in Jerusalem, because we all ended up dancing on the table. Also, if you are Jewish, you have the chance to connect with your culture and people. I loved everything about our trip. 100% thumbs up!
